About the Program

The Do-Re-Wee Music Academy offers toddlers and preschoolers (from 8 months thru age 5) and their accompanying adult a quality introduction to music in a fun-filled group setting through songs, rhythm & rhyme, instruments, dance and more. In this early childhood music program — where you enjoy music together with your little one — you’ll see your child begin to develop a strong musical foundation, as well as an enjoyment of music.  We believe that all children can grow musically and that an early introduction is a gift for a lifetime.

With a background in piano, voice, clarinet, and drama, Anne double-majored at The College of William & Mary (where she co-founded the first women’s a capella group of the College’s modern era) before earning her Master’s at The George Washington University.

She has since engaged in widely varying musical experiences, including teaching music and drama in both public and independent schools; directing & music-directing numerous theatrical productions; serving as a church pianist and choral conductor; and growing the program at a center emphasizing early childhood music.

Anne and her husband Andrew have four young children of their own, who fill the house with constant noise ranging from the sweetly harmonious to the utterly cacophonous.

About Becca Jenkins

Becca Jenkins is so excited to be joining the Do Re Wee family! She graduated from Messiah College in 2009 with a vocal music degree, where one of her favorite experiences was student conducting the Susquehanna Children’s Chorale. Since graduating, she has taught private piano and voice lessons in the Bel Air area. She has seen first-hand the impact that music has in developing her own children’s learning, and is excited to share its benefits with Harford County’s talented kids!. Her little redheads Caleb (3) and Jocelyn (1.5) keep her running all day, building Legos, inventing paint projects, and laughing hysterically. They, along with her hard-working, servant-hearted husband John, are her greatest blessings; and they help to fill her life with music.

About Anne Payne

Anne Payne graduated from Messiah College in 2010 with a degree in Elementary Education and a music minor. She later received her Master’s degree from Wilmington University in 2017. Music has been an integral part of her life. With a background in cello, handbells, and vocal music, Anne currently enjoys being an active member of a number of music ensembles. From these experiences, her years of teaching in the public-school setting, and nurturing her own children, Lily & Luke, Anne believes in the powerful influence music can have on people of all ages. She is very excited to join the Do-Re-Wee team so she can help share a passion for music with little ones and their families.
